The Covid 19 pandemic, amid the daily loss of life is also taking its toll on doctors. It is estimated that 6% of the total number of infected are health personnel, while now 15 doctors have lost their lives, infected while serving patients.
Therefore, the Order of the Doctors, referring to international models, requires the government to consider Covid as an professional disease and the doctors who lost their lives due to covid be treated with a special bonus, as only ‘applause for them’ is not enough.
Doctors are often blamed for the failures of the health system, even though they have been serving us for more than 9 months, sacrificing their lives.
The head of the Doctor’s Order explains that doctors are unjustly billed for health system problems.
