COVID-19/ 264 new cases and 9 losses of life in the last 24 hours

Albanian Ministry of Health announced today (05.04.2021) that in the last 24 hours 264 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified while nine citizens lost the battle with the disease.
The latter were 4 citizens were from Tirana, 2 citizens from Shkodra, 1 citizen from Vlora, 1 citizen from Fier, and 1 citizen from Pogradec, all aged 55-83 years old, taking to 2274 the loss of lives since the onset of the pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 589 citizens have recovered, while 255 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals in Tirana and three regional hospitals, 11 of which in intensive therapy.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to all citizens not to reduce their vigilance and to continue to implement the rules for the prevention of COVID19.
Positive cases were identified in the following municipalities: 47 cases in Tirana, 22 cases in Korça, 20 cases in Durrës, 18 cases in Fier, Berat, 14 cases in Shkodra, 11 cases in Elbasan, 10 cases in Gjirokastra, 9 cases in Kurbin, and fewer in other districts.
