Country on lockdown; Violating drivers and pedestrians are fined, owners of 6 open premises penalized

The Police Services continue to check the implementation of the restrictive measures announced by the Albanian government, in order to put under control the spread of COVID-19 epidemic.

During the last 24 hours, 43 drivers throughout the country have been found in violation of the traffic stop order, and have been penalized with driving license revocation orvehicle blocking, pursuant to Normative Act no. 3, dated 15.03.2020.

In Gjirokastra, citizen J. C., 23 years old, resident of Këlcyra, was arrested yesterday afternoon, as he was caught driving a motorcycle without number plates or license.

Across the country, during the last 24 hours, as a result of the checks by the Police structures and the reports received from citizens in the official addresses of the State Police, 330 citizens have been penalized with administrative measures of 10,000 ALL, who were found moving on foot or by bicycle, without any reason or emergency.
6 illegally opened premises have been found throughout the country and administrative measures have been taken against the administrators.

The State Police appeals to all citizens to respect the restrictive measures, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
