In a daily press release, the Health Ministry stated that three people have lost their lives in the country as a result of the novel coronavirus.
Also, based on the tests performed during the last 24 hours, 90 new cases have been registered, while 33 patients have recovered.
“The geographical distribution of new cases is as follows: 35 in Tirana, 12 in Kruja, 10 in Kurbin, 8 in Vlora, 6 in Shkodra, 4 in Përmet, 3 in Pogradec, 2 cases in Kukës, Lezhë, Kavaja, Lushnje, 1 case each in Kolonjë, Vau i Dejës, Kamëz, Durrës. The situation in the infectious disease hospital continues to be serious with 80 patients currently being treated, 8 of them are in intensive care.
“A two-month-old baby affected by Covid19 is under the care of pediatric staff, in stable condition with his mother.
“A 57-year-old man from Shkodra, a 65-year-old man from Tirana and a 76-year-old man from Durrës, with concomitant diseases, have lost their lives in the infectious disease hospital, despite the efforts of the medical staff.
“The good news is that 33 citizens have recovered in the last 24 hours”, stated Dr. Eugena Tomini, from the Public Health Institute.
