Control on Secret Service

The opposition at the Security Commission has accused the majority of
ignoring the law for the Parliamentary surveillance on intelligence
services, in order to not allow an inspection.

According to the Socialists, the law should be discussed a few months before the Democrats end up in the opposition.

“The Parliament Speaker knows why this law has not been discussed for two years. Bringing the law today is not a sign of consolidated democracy”, declared the vice Chairman of the Commission for Security, Ilir Gjoni.

But the Democratic MPs in this Commission asked for consensus, considering it very necessary for all parties.

“We appealed experts from the civil society, the General Prosecution and wider, to bring their opinions so that the law can be complete and more effective”, declared Leonard Demi, Chairman of this Commission.

The Parliamentary Control on Secret Services has caused conflicts between the two political camps.
