The action of the National Construction Inspectorate will not stop until all territories and public spaces are liberated.
This is the declaration made by the Director of the National Construction Inspectorate, Dallendyshe Bici, in a press release. She denied that the Inspectorate is demolishing buildings selectively.
“This is not true. The buildings that are still standing do have permits and are legalized. They may have been legalized against the norms, but there will be a second phase of scrutiny for this. Nothing has been or will be demolished selectively”, Bici declared.
700 objects have been demolished so far in Tirana, after they have occupied public places abusively. The operation is continuing throughout the country.
Bici declared that besides demolishing, they are also suing those who are responsible, including public employees. 37 have been sued so far.
She added that inspectors are looking on terrain for illegal buildings, and she invites citizens to cooperate.
