The Constitutional Court is getting prepared during these last days of
2016 to finalize the Vetting Law, which will allow the implementation of
the Justice Reform to enter in effect even before 2017.

All eight Constitutional Court Judges met behind closed doors to finalize the law they voted in favor of leaving in effect. Sources say the judges are meeting to formulate their arguments for the vote, six in favor and two against. This procedure might take six days.

After this, the law will allow the vetting of assets for 800 members of the justice system. For its implementation, the President will have to announce the starting of the race for the three Vetting Commissions, a process which will be supervised by the International Monitoring Operation.

The independent vetting commission and the College of Appeal will vet justice members, while the Constitutional judges will be the first ones to be vetted through accelerated procedures.
