The Constitutional Court rejected all requests for repealing the new law
about security cameras, 16 months after it was approved.
The request was presented by the Salesmen Association, who said the obligation to place security cameras was excessive and against the Constitution.
They see filming of public places while conducting their businesses a human right violation, but the Constitutional Court left it in power.
The law was proposed by the former Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri. Every business is now bound to install cameras, otherwise fines will vary from 5000 to 10.000 ALL.
