The Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Klement Zguri, declared that starting from this June, artificial transfer of residence registration will no longer be allowed.
“The CEC and observers have reported in recent elections that this phenomenon has been present in last elections. Supporters of Mayors make an artificial change of their residence, so that they can vote for their candidate”, Zguri said.
Emphasizing that the artificial residential change is a clear power abuse, the CEC Chairman said that it also has serious consequences on the democratic system.
