The vice Chairman of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group, Johann Wadephul, said that the Berlin summit, which disappointed the President of Kosovo, was actually very positive.
He said that the impulse given by Merkel and Macron was very important, and it should be carried on by Serbia and Kosovo, which need to realize more tangible negotiations.
Wadephul also spoke about the EU accession negotiations of Albania. When asked by DW if Albania should hope to start the negotiations this year, he said “yes”, and that they are waiting for the recommendation o the EU Commission, which will arrive after the European elections.
