The Prosecution of Tirana raised the official charges against the four
persons, two of them military personnel, who were arrested on May 2013
with 97 kilograms of C4.
Ilir Dhamo, Pellumb Daci, Artur Celo and Emiledi Taku are charged with “illegal arm possession in cooperation” and “illegal arm possession in large quantities”.
The defendants say they have sold C4 even for 20 dollars a kilogram. Ilir Dhamo explains that he is an officer and due to his duty, he has been able to take detonators and other accessories.
In 2011, Dhamo had met Pellumb Daci, then Vice Commander of the Armament and Ammunition Battalion, which dealt with the transfer of the ammunition that was going to be eliminated.
Thamo declared that Daci had asked him for some ammunition and he had promised to give him whenever he could.
Since 2011, the defendant Ilir Dhamo confirms that he has sold 40 kilograms of explosives at 20 dollars per kilogram.
He says that he took the detonators legally in October 2013 and used them for the explosions of the Urban Inspectorate. The file was sent at the Court of Tirana.
