Cakaj meets Yuri Kim: USA, irreplaceable partner for Albania

The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, welcomed the newly appointed US Ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim.

Cakaj declared that in the meeting with Kim they discussed matters related to Albania’s commitment to open the EU negotiations during 2020.

The two diplomats also discussed Albanai’s OSCE Chairmanship and the request for obtaining a non-permanent seat at the Security Council in 2022.

“We are grateful to the USA for the support with the internal reforms and for reinforcing Albania’s international position.

“The USA are a irreplaceable political and strategic partner for Albania”, Cakaj declared.
