One year after the government operation against informality created
tension, business associations say that the new tax package may improve
the climate.
“We expect concrete and constructive dialogue between the Ministry of Finances and businesses, in order to harmonize some amends that we see as very important”, said Ines Mucostepa, from the Trade Chambers Unions.
“Inspectors will announce their visit one month before. These things have removed fear from private businesses”, said Luan Bregasi, head of “Business Albania”.
Businesses have once again made public their additional suggestions, for the first time in a unified way.
“We want that fines for small businesses are made through some stages, including the fines. Fines for missing sale receipt should be 5000 ALL for smaller businesses and 10.000 ALL for the big business”, Luan Bregasi said.
The Minister of Finances, Arbej Ahmetaj, declared that the new package will have a series of new easier procedures, such as the right of businesses to make corrections and the administration to warn businesses one month before they inspect.
