Bushati and Tahiri, meeting with Albanian community in Greece

The Foreign and Interior Minister of Albania are attending a meeting
with the Albanian community in Northern Greece. The Ministers praised
their role in Greece, as a solid bridge for the relations between both
countries, and valued their economic contribution to Albania for the
past 25 years.

Bushati and Tahiri updated the present members with the law for registering the Albanian citizens who live abroad. This initiative will enable credible data for Albanians who live abroad, in order to improve services for them.

The Foreign Minister said that the consulate services are a priority. He underlined that the reforms have reduced the price for citizens who live abroad.

The initiative for issuing birth certificates from consulates in Italy is just the beginning of these efforts, which will be continued by the “Digital Consulate” which aims to offer many services online.

Minister Bushati expressed the government’s commitment to work together with the Greek side for issuing birth, wedding and death certificates.
