British troops arrived in Rinas, being ready to participate in the
biggest training ever organized between the two military forces,
“Albania Lion 2013”.
General Gjunkshi declared that this training is an important part of the Albanian armed forces, while he British ambassador in Albania declared that after the fall of communism, in Albania and wherever in Europe, there is only one enemy: terror.
General Gjunkshi declared: “The training will include a great number of ships, helicopters and airplanes. The goal of this raining is to improve the debarkation, transport and evacuation, by engaging forces from the air and the sea.”
Nicholas Cannon underlined: “During most of NATO’s history, the main threats have come from dictatorial systems. From the fall of communism to Europe, the main threat now comes from terrorism, religious extremism and the spreading of mass destruction weapons”.
The training will continue for 13 days in several areas of the country, such as Zall-Herrl, Kucova, Sazan, Karaburun, Biza and Selenica.
