Border restrictions; Greece sets buffer and quick tests for Kakavija crossing with Albania

At the Kakavija crossing point, where since yesterday is concentrated the passage of all vehicles and citizens from Albania to Greece, a rapid coronavirus test was being carried out today for all.

Meanwhile, citizens are obliged to submit a formal negative Covid test, at a time when a rapid retest is being conducted for fear of falsification of test results, as it happened two days ago.

This procedure is doubling the processing time of the crossings in Kakavija and the crossing is allowed only after 15 minutes after receiving the answer of the rapid test.

The situation seems somewhat more intense at the entrance where dozens of trucks are being processed as they could not enter Albania from Kapshtica.

Greek authorities have confirmed that they will continue to conduct verification tests for all citizens except truck drivers, while the number of those who can cross the border in 24 hours remains at 750 people.
