Bank of Albania Governor Get Sejko saluted the approval of the Justice Reform saying it will have a positive impact on the economy, especially as it was approved unanimously in Parliament. “Any other delays or contradictions would harm the country’s economy”, Sejko said to reporters on his monthly press conference.
Sejko rejected suggestions for the existence of a report from the Senior State Control Agency who says the sum of money stolen from the Bank of Albania is 3 times higher than officially declared. It also suggests second degree commercial banks were involved in the theft. The Governor also announced that the Supervisory Board decided not to change interest rates.
