Berlin appeals Macedonian President to authorize new ruling majority

Berlin asked the President of Macedonia, Gjorgje Ivanov, to mandate the
new majority and bring the current political crisis to an end.
Macedonian media quote the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zigmar Gabriel, asking President Ivanov to end the prolonged stalemate.
“The Parliament of Macedonia has a majority that derived from the recent parliamentary elections. The insecurity that has swept the country brings back old emotions, and that is why it is a major danger. For this reason, we are committed to help overcome crises in Balkan, especially in Macedonia. Our goal is to raise awareness for creating a peaceful and democratic co-existence”, Gabriel declared.
His meeting in Berlin with the Spanish counterpart, Alfonso Dastis, focused on the concerns regarding the Western Balkan situation.
