Berisha: More fiscal facilities

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, attended a reception
organized by the Albanian-American Foundation, in which he considered
that “the American friends have been decisive in the Albanian radical
transformation of the last 15 years”, and thanked them for the great
contribution given to many economic sectors. Berisha also promised
further fiscal facilities for all foreign investors.

“I thank you for being present in this reception. I have the privilege to be surrounded by Albania’s most precious friends”, Berisha declared during the speech he held in this reception.

“Everyone who has visited Albania 15 years ago, would not be able to recognize today anything from the Albania of that time. It is like wakening up from a long sleep and seeing that everything has changed. The foundation’s contribution during these extraordinary transformations is priceless”, the Prime Minister added and reminded some of the main foundation investments.

“You were the first who extended the private cooperation with every structure of the Albanian state, and founded the first private bank in Albania. With an initial capital of 6-7 million USD, the American Bank turned into a history of success, a giant of the Albanian market, which brought the well known Intesa San Paolo. A success have been in Albania the US investments for the Rinas Airport, the biometric cards, successes in education and other economic sectors”, Berisha declared.

The Albanian Prime Minister concluded his speech by promising that the government will undertake further fiscal facilities for attiring more foreign investors in the country.

“It is clear that these are not easy times for the world economy, but for Albania, there is only one option, that of continuing to grow. This will be realized through the policies of this government, which will make our country even more attractive for the investments, by approving policies that support businesses and fiscal facilities for all investors”.
