The Prime Minister Sali Berisha launched some minutes ago the electoral campaign in Vore, announcing the candidate Fiqiri Ismaili, who will run for the Democratic Party looking for a second mandate.
Berisha valued the figure of Ismaili as a model citizen that has been seriously engaged on the citizen’s problem resolution.
“I am here to proudly present Mr. Fiqiri Ismaili, for his second mandate in the Vore Municipality. He is one of most able Mayors in Albania. He has proved in these years that he is an excellent manager, a model citizen”, Berisha declared.
According to the Prime Minister, Ismaili has had a special contribute in managing the situation after the Gërdeci event, by meeting the needs of the citizen’s everyday life, and also in increasing the pensions of the third age.
Berisha promised another pension increase and the continuance of investments, which, according to whim, in the recent four years have been bigger than in the eight years leaded by the socialists.
“I promise here today, a pension increase for all elder citizens above 75 years of age, a fund provided by the municipality. In the recent four years, we have invested 50 times more than the socialist government in 8 years. We have invested 8 million Euros, while the socialist government invested only 400 thousand Euros. I guarantee you that I will finance every project that you and your Mayor will plan for paving any road of the municipality, for the running water, for the schools, for the kindergartens and employment”, Berisha promised.
The Head of the Government did not spare his irony against Opposition leader, Edi Rama, who runs for the fourth mandate in Tirana.
“With his alternative, ‘It is Berisha’s fault’, comrade Rama only proves that he is horrified by his sins. But I want to tell him that I will not spend my time in this campaign with his sins, but only with the citizens, because you come first”, Berisha said in front of the supporters.
