The former Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, spoke toda in
Parliament about the case of Klement Balili and the spy equipment,
accusing PM Rama as responsible.
“Rama has plunged our country into scandals. The declaration of Europol dismantled the declarations of Tahiri and Cako, who told Balili to leave Albania. Balili’s case belongs to Europe and Balkan”, Berisha said.
As for the political declarations, Berisha said that he does not defend the SMI, when Edi Rama gives Balili total protection.
“They arrest people who don’t have money to pay taxes, who build a roof to their children. Typical to Escobar, and not to the SMI. You are like the biggest boss of drug in Albania”, he told Mr.Rama.
Then, the former Prime Minister called the “spy equipment” case a scandal of huge proportions.
“Surveillance equipments have entered Albania even before, but with the permit of the Prosecutor General”, said the former leader of the DP, who asked Rama to hand it over to the Prosecution.
The Prime Minister replied by accusing him of delaying the justice reform.
“Look me in the eye and tell me if you will allow the justice reform or not. Why you never mention it? Why didn’t the DP come to vote the Venice draft at the Commission?”, Rama said.
According to him, this is just a rhetoric question. “Because the ‘concrete wall’ ordered by the leader of your party is enough to show that you are not interested for judges and prosecutors to be free. How can you accept this, when you have supporte and encouraged this corrupted system that is serving to you personally and to your people?”, Rama said.
“A court that refuses the implement the most minimal thing, to take in consideration the conflict of interest with the judge panel that will allow the 17-store construction at the Tirana Artificial Lake”, Rama said.
Rama accused the opposition of engaging the President into becoming a complementary leader of the DP to defend the most corrupted troop of judges ever.
As for the drug traffic, Rama answered to the accusations by showing the documents of Europol, which, he says, show the opposite of Berisha’s claims.
