The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, spoke about the large amount of money that was seized yesterday at the Durres Port (3.4 million EUR hidden inside two cars), saying that Taulant Balla had planned to take them in Albania, but his plan was deconspired.

“The money belonged to one of the most active gangs in Elbasan and all of Albania. Balla had an agreement to guarantee the entrance. The police were facing pressure from a partner country. We have a former Interior Minister, a gang leader, who promenades with a horse. And now we have the leader of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group who works with money laundering. Balla was guaranteeing. The plan was for 1.5 million Euros. What’s the connection between Tahiri, Xhafa, Balla and Veliaj, besides Edi Rama? The drug traffic and the construction of new towers in Tirana, which will be built for money laundering”, Basha said.
