The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with representatives of
the OSCE-ODIHR mission” Richard Lappin, Vice Chairman of the Election
Department; Ana Rusu, Councilor for Elections; Alexey Gromov, Councilor
for Elections; Francesco Pagani, Chairman of Political Councilors at the
OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

This OSCE mission is attending a visit in Tirana to analyze the pre-electoral situation. The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, updated them with what the DP sees as real dangers of the free vote.

Basha said that the elections are in danger because the government is not implementing the decriminalization law, and because the money of the drug traffic may be used to buy votes.

Basha said that the crime and drug has increased into becoming a real threat for free and fair elections, and underlined that the government has not reflected after the recent OSCE-ODIHR recommendatins.

Basha said that Edi Rama has ruined elections made so far by violating free vote through crimes, threats and purchase.

He added that the CEC has acted unilaterally due to government pressure and threats. Basha told the OSCE ODIHR that the only way to have free and fair elections would be having a technical government that guarantees free and fair elections and which focuses on the implementation of the decriminalization law, fight against drugs, crime and illegal traffic.
