At the electoral conference of Puka, the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim
Basha, accused Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Parliament Speaker, Ilir
Meta, of installing a political corruption system in Albania, in their
efforts to take under control every independent institution.
Considering as unacceptable what the opposition considered an offense of the Prime Minister against the Albanian government empoyees, Basha said that Rama has implemented the worst standard.
“You have appointed people from the darkers corners of crime, and given them important government posts. You have appointed people sentenced for drug traffic, people who were wanted for kidnapping children. You accuse the judiciary for corruption, but you showed the highest level of corruption with the purchase of the Korce votes, and then closed that case by giving them amnesty. You are denying today the right to transparency for the opposition, what has been given to them by the Constitution and the Sovereign People, with Parliamentary Investigative commissions. You accused the judiciary for corruption, but you stole the tax data and denied parliamentary transparency”, Basha declared.
Basha added that the best democratic standards are being implemented with the revival of the DP, where transparency and free vote are the basis of the biggest opposition force.
