A few hours after Albania declared 52 Greek citizens “non-grata” in the Albanain territory, the Greek Foreign Ministry reacted and asked explanations,
The 52 Greek citizens were declared non-grata after they blocked a national road inside Albania. They had entered the country to attend the funeral of the Greek extremist, Katsifa, who shot against a police vehicle and later died in a shootout with the Albanian Special Forces.
“In this delicate moment, we expect Albania to steer away from actions that damage our bilateral relations. We expect clarification about the decision to declare ‘non-grata’ 52 Greek citizens. We remain determined to built relations based on trust. We expect the same from our neighbors”, the Greek Foreign Ministry declared,
