The person you see in the picture is arrested suspect Përparim Ademi, an Albanian from Northern Macedonia who today took the lives of two sisters in Tirana, one of whom his living partner.
The demand for separation from the latter is thought to be the cause that led to the double murder, that shook the public opinion this last day of the year.
Police said that Ademi shot several times with an automatic rifle the victims Kristina Bardhi and Zhaneta Metani, in front their two children.
The police stated: As a result of the siege of the area and the pressure exerted by the Police services, it was mead possible to handcuff the perpetrator Përparim Ademi, who is currently in the premises of the Tirana Police Directorate, for further investigative actions.
The perpetrator, cohabitant of one of the deceased sisters, shot several times with a machine gun, which he left in the apartment, and then left on foot. The investigative team is continuing to fully investigate the incident. Witnesses who have been and can help clarify the event will also be questioned.
Përparim Ademi who changed his name a few years ago, is an Albanian from Northern Macedonia. The victim’s two children were also at the scene.
