After the arrest for corruption of the judge of the Court of Kruja, Enkelejda Hoxha, Prime Minister Rama said that the development is a “long-awaited news” because according to him it shows that the Justice Reform is bearing fruit.
“The arrest of the infamous judge of Kruja and her criminal network by the new justice institutions, is a long-awaited news for all of us, as well as for all the majority of Albanians who have supported the Justice Reform! This news should encourage anyone who expects justice for the crimes of corrupt judges and prosecutors and I wish that bringing this sludge to justice continues!
“Whoever has not passed the Vetting process must answer, whoever continues to abuse since he cannot pass the Vetting, must be stopped!”, Rama writes on twitter.
Judge Enkelejda Hoxha was arrested today together with several officials of the Court, after a several-month investigation. Hoxha is known for her decisions by which many convicts were released from prison in exchange for bribes. At the time of their detention, the detainees were preparing the illegal release of another convict, Saimir Petani.
In the Kruja Court, among those arrested are court secretary Ela Mallkuçi, the lawyer Aldo Tabaku, as well as doctors in the Fushë-Kruja prison.
