“Citizens will not pay more than they have consumed. Those who caused
this will respond”, said the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
After this warning, the board of the Tirana Aqueduct Assembly discharged Director Neritan Gjojdeshi and replaced him with Redi Molla.
The former Director tried to explain the problem as an IT issue or sabotage against himself.
“Every measurement has been made correctly in this area. The problem is with the IT system. It may be a human error or intentional intervention. It may have political reasons or it may be done to hit the new leading team of the enterprise”, Gjojdeshi said.
The abusive bills were canceled and citizens will pay the real ones.
