The Appeal Court for Serious Crimes has decided to confirm the decision for the freezing of assets of former Prosecutor General Adriatik Llalla.

His attorney Sokol Hazizaj had initiated procedures for the case to be appealed but the decision was taken even with him missing because he was on vacations. It was difficult to find a replacement because almost all attorneys were on vacations. But in the end the Court decided to confirm the previous decision.

Llalla’s case was opened by prosecutors immediately after he resigned from the justice system of Albania and tons of accusations followed. His resignation excluded him from the vetting process but now the same prosecutors he used to demand results in fighting corruption are investigating him.
