Albanian Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, stated today that the Anti-COVID Task Force will continue to intensify field checks with increased capacities for the implementation of security measures and protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection.

During the field inspection together with the General Director of Police, the Minister said that the situation in which we are is serious, so no negligence from businesses can be tolerated for non-implementation of measures.

“We are in a serious situation, where the non-implementation of measures and rules by businesses affects the health of the population as it affects the escalation of the infection. We can no longer tolerate negligence. We can no longer tolerate stupidity in not responding to rules. We can’t make a blind eye and a deaf ear when in the supermarket they serve without putting on masks “, said Manastirliu.

The Minister of Health warned of toughening measures for violators of the law.

“We will increase inspection groups and controls in cities that are considered hotbeds due to the number of affected, but also along the coast. There will be no longer advice or warnings but will proceed with fines and activity closure for repeated violations. Nobody wants that, but this is for the good of everyone’s health “, the minister said.
