Kosovo received a very serious warning from the USA, as officials form the biggest NATO ally said that the 100% tax is undermining the relations between the both countries, as it fails to reach the historic agreement with Serbia.
The US Embassy in Prishtina says that high-level US officials, during their visit in Kosovo and Serbia, have reinforced the message of US President Donald Trump that this is a unique moment for a reaching a final agreement with Serbia, but parties from both sides must stop actions that make it difficult for reaching an agreement.
Some of the punishments that the USA has undertaken is banning Kosovo officials from traveling to the USA and leaving them outside some international meetings.
Recently it was said that US troops may even leave Kosovo, but the US Embassy issued a declaration in which they say that their troops will stay: “The politics of the USA is still to support KFOR and the US presence in the Bondsteel camp, Kosovo, in order to guarantee free and safe movement in Kosovo”, the declaration says.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who said that threats for removing the soldiers from Kosovo are very old, said that they are welcome to stay, but he criticized Thaci by saying that the Head of State has caused damage to Kosovo with the discussions for dividing its territory.
