Aldo Bare sentenced to life in prison

While Judge Fatmira Hajdari read the “life to prison” sentence, the silent, calm and cold Aldo Bare did not make any declaration or jokes as expected.

His only reaction was a disapproving facial expression and when the judge said the words “to be served in a high security prison”, former Lushnja gang leader followed with a smile and whispering to his defending lawyer, Vladimir Meçi.

Since the sentence was more than 100 pages long, Judge Fatmira Hajdari read only the charges on which Aldo Bare will be convicted by the High Court of Serious Crimes.

Aldo Bare was found guilty of the premeditated murder of two or more persons, with the complicity of Genc Kashari and Artur Daja, and was sentenced to 23 years in prison for this crime alone.

Then he was found guilty of Xhevat Demiri’s premeditated murder under criminal organization orders and was sentenced to life in prison; guilty of Nimet Zeneli’s premeditated murder under criminal organization orders and was sentenced to 25 years in prison; guilty of Gramoz Selamani’s murder attempt under criminal organization orders and sentenced to 25 years in prison; guilty of Masar Aliu’s murder attempt and sentenced to 25 years in prison; guilty of Masar Aliu’s premeditated murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

After seven murder accusations, most of which incriminated him of commanding the orders and only one as direct executioner, Aldo Bare was also found guilty of illegal possession and produce of fire arms, sentenced to 5 years in prison for this crime; of complicity in arson (10 years) and of creating a crime organization, of which he was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

In total, Aldo Bare was sentenced to prison for life, 146 years in prison. According to the Penal Code, the judge concluded with a life to prison sentence.
