The Albanian citizens have spent more than 1.2 billion EUR for tourism and travels abroad during the first nine months of this year, according to the Bank of Albania.
From January to September, Albanians have spent €1.224 for traveling abroad, most of which for tourism.
Compared to the same period of one year ago, the data has increased with 10.3%, or €115 mln more.
According to the Greek tourism confederation, Albanians have spent 236 million EUR in Greece only. More than 1 million Albanians travel to Greece for holidays, according to this agency, and other favorite countries are Turkey, Italy and other EU countries.
