Albanian tourism operators’ requirements for 2025 on beaches and urban transport

One of the problems mentioned most by foreign tourists in Albania this year was the lack of public beaches and the possibility to place towels and umbrellas freely on the coast.

Almost the entire coast was filled with private beaches, some of which unlicensed. Meanwhile, during the summer season, images like these where the beaches had empty umbrellas, became viral on the net.

Tourist operators in the south of the country look optimistically at the statement of the head of government to reduce the number of private beaches and increase public spaces.

The head of the tourist operators of the South coast, Vasil Bedinaj, wants this initiative to become a reality as soon as possible.

Speaking about summer tourism 2024, he said that expectations are for more flow next season, while autumn tourism is also on a good path.

But the tourist operators also have requests for the solution of public transport in Vlora, which currently does not suit the tourist capacity of the city.
