The Albania Football Federation has prepared a full case with footage,
photos and all other facts about what happened in Belgrade. It will be
sent over to the Committee of Discipline at UEFA.
After consulting with their legal office, the Albanian Football Federation leaders asked for legal help from two foreign studios, based on their experience. The first one was a British studio, which has drafted and formulated the facts of the Albanian Football Federation. The second is a Swiss legal studio, which will present the work.
The Albanian Federation has three main keys in this case:
The first one is the failure of the Serbian authorities to organize a normal match. This is clearly seen from the footage.
The second point is the storming of fans in field and attacking players. Not only fans, but stewards and security officers were also seen attacking Albanian players.
The third point are the racist chants from the start of the game, which continued with the ignoring of our flag and anthem, and with the forbidden political messages such as “Kosovo is Serbia”.
These are the three main points that forced the match to be interrupted, followed by images and footage. They will all be sent to the UEFA Committee and might even bring a 3-0 result.
The Albanian Football Federation is accused about the flag with the Albanian symbols and for refusing to return to the game. The abandoning of the game is very serious, and the relation that was sent to UEFA writes: “The Albanian match has never been asked to return to the field. They were simply asked if they are able to play. We have answered that we don’t refuse to play football, but we refuse to have our lives at stake”.
This Thursday on October 23rd, the Albanian Federation will speak with the five members of the UEFA Committee of Discipline, same as the Serbian side. UEFA will then decide about the points. There is a third theory for postponing the meeting in November.
