Another doctor in Albania lost his life from the coronavirus, this time the well-known epidemiologist Wilson Topulli.
The news was announced by the head of epidemiology at IPH, Silva Bino through a status on social networks.
“This pandemic took from us our colleague Wilson Topulli. He was the history and memory of IPH. I met Vili during the cholera epidemic in 1994. Vili was the person who knew every corner of Albania, knew the country and everyone who worked in public health. He was tireless, he was the help of every young and old epidemiologist. A genuine field epidemiologist. He would not know that years later such pneumonia would take his life. Forgive us Vili for not protecting you and not being able to save you. Let earth be light on you, our good colleague. Consolations to your wonderful children”, stated Bino.
