Albania sends operational troops to Iraq, against ISIS

Albania will send a military unit to Iraq, which will be part of the infantry operations against the terror organization, ISIS.
The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, informed at the at the Security Commission that they had made a request to the Iraqi government for credentials. Then, the Parliament will decide for the time and number of Albanian soldiers who will join other ally countries in the coalition against ISIS.
The participation is voluntary, although it comes after an appeal made by the USA. The Albanian military troops have been dislocated several times to Iraq, but mainly on duties to guard military objectives and convoys.
