Albania registers first loss of life from new coronavirus

It was a 73-year-old patient who was isolated at a Durres hospital and according to the Ministry of Health reported other health conditions such as cardiac insufficiency, artery fibrillation and post-by-pass status.
The female patient was confirmed infected with Covid 19 was to be transferred to the Infectious Disease Service in Tirana today, but as the transfer was being made doctors canceled the move, as apparently the emergency nurse realized the loss of the patient’s life.

Since March 7th when the first case of Covid 19 was diagnosed in Albania, 12 have been identified as positive cases of coronavirus. Two new cases have been confirmed today.

Meanwhile in the infectious decease service in Tirana 3 patients are hospitalized in stable condition. Of the 12 positive Covid 19 cases, 9 are related to each other while the other three are new cases without connection with the Albanian Covid 19 ‘patient zero.
