After many months no COVID-19 deaths, 134 infected and 100 recovered in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours there has been no loss of life in Albania from COVID-19, meanwhile 134 people have been affected by the infection.

The authorities said 852 tests were performed in total, and 100 citizens were recovered from the disease, bringing to 7239 the number of people who defeated COVID-19.

According to the Ministry of Health, the geographical distribution of positive confirmations is: 61 cases in Tirana, 14 cases in Durres, 10 cases in Elbasan, 9 cases in Shkodra, 7 cases in Fier, 5 cases in Korca and Tropoja, 4 cases in Berat and Mat, 2 cases in Kruja, Vlora, Mirdita, 1 case each in Lezha, Has, Kavaja, Lushnje, Kamza, Pogradec, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqiza, Vora.

Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 186 patients are being treated, 16 of which in intensive therapy.

“The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to citizens to continue to be careful in implementing measures against COVID-19 to prevent the spread of the infection. Keep physical distance, wash your hands often, use masks or protective barriers indoors and wherever it is not possible to maintain distance, disinfect objects and ventilate the premises where you live. Please do not lower your vigilance, the virus is still among us and we can defeat it only if we follow the established rules every day, as the only weapons we have in the battle with SARSCOV2”, the ministry appeals.
