After demanding for months the resignation of Damian Gjiknuri, the Democratic Party withdrew from this position and decided to sit on the same table with the Socialist MP.

The Democrats had asked Gjiknuri’s resignation accusing him of having manipulated the local elections in Dibra.

The DP had also demanded the meeting to be held without representatives of the parliamentary opposition, a stance which they also withdrew.

The opposition representatives, Oerd Bylykbashi and Petrit Vasili, sat on the same table with Damian Gjiknuri and Rudina Hajdari.

After the meeting the allies at the Democratic Party HQ, Basha announced Oerd Bylykbashi and Petrit Vasili as the opposition’s representatives who will negotiate the Electoral Reform with the majority.

“The Electoral Reform is a non-negotiable condition of the German Bundestag. The opposition is confirming the stance for starting the Electoral Reform the soonest possible”, Basha declared.
