The number of enterprises that create massive employment has increased with 7.6% during the past year, but the Albania business scene is still dominated by surviving small businesses.
The Institution of Statistics has reported that in 2018 Albania counted 1967 large businesses with more than 50 employees, or 139 more than in 2017.
But the number of corporate companies operating in Albania is only 1.2% of the total businesses, almost insignificant.
Albania has 163.000 businesses, 90% of which are small ones, with 1 to 4 employees.
