Seven EU member countries appealed the European Commission to come up with concrete propositions until January 2020, to improve the efficiency of the accession process, as a means to support the reforms and the integration efforts in the region.
In a letter sent to the European Commission President, Jean Claude Juncker, these countries underline that without accepting the Western Balkan countries, without mentioning the achievements of Northern Macedonia and Albania, Europe would not be complete.
The letter says that there is no doubt that the stability and the progress with the reforms can be achieved better through the EU integration.
These countries express their support for the progress of the EU accession negotiations for the Western Balkan countries.
