A 60-year-old man from Rrëshen jumped from the third floor of the “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital in Tirana, and later passed away.
According to sources, Leonard Scabona was hospitalized since 2 days and in aggravated condition with coronavirus.
The reasons that led him to commit the act of suicide around 00:30 this morning are still unknown, while it is reported that he was in a serious psychological condition.
We recall that “Shefqet Ndroqi” is one of the three COVID hospitals, where patients affected by coronavirus are cared for.
The last case is the fifth victim who has committed suicide so far in the two coronavirus hospitals “Shefqet Ndroqi” and “Infectious Disease Hospital”.
The cause of suicide of COVID patients has been argued with the psychological severity that COVID-19 brings.
