48 new cases of Covid-19, ministry: We have new hospitalizations, 7 in intensive care, one intubated

Meanwhile there are new hospitalizations as 52 patients are receiving care at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 7 of whom in intensive care and one intubated.

There are currently 389 actively ill people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Kruja.

Meanwhile, in recent days there has been an increase in the number of cases in some business activities, in various institutions, in participation in funeral ceremonies and gatherings.

Dr. Flutura Beqo from the Ministry of Health gave more details:

“During the last 24 hours, 270 tests were performed of which 48 positive cases were confirmed, contacts of confirmed cases, but there are also new ones in investigation in Tirana, Kruja, Fier, Durres, Kamza.
“The distribution of new cases is as follows: 24 cases in Tirana, 8 in Kruja, 4 in Durrës, 3 in Fier, 2 Lezha, 2 Puka, 3 Kamza, 1 Gjirokastra, 1 Elbasan.

“During the last 24 hours, 5 citizens have recovered and in total more than 70% of those affected have been cured since the beginning of the epidemic.
Currently, 52 patients are receiving services at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 7 of whom are in intensive care and one is intubated.
