This year the 3rd edition of the Tirana Marathon will be the largest sports event in the country, with more than 2500 runners from 40 countries participating.
The event which is now turning into a tradition for the city will include two new itineraries approved by the IAAF ranking it between the most famous activities on the international stage. The race will be held on October 7th and will be divided in 3 categories; Half Marathon (21, 0975 km), Tirana 10K and “We too”, a category that has motivation as main focus rather than competition.
There will also be a Fun Run race, which will take place one day before the big race on October 6th with teenagers from the high schools of Tirana.
The event will not be considered just a sports competition, but also a festive day for the city, where many artistic and cultural activities will be organized.
Prizes for the winners will be numerous, turning the race into a challenge.
