The central area “Mylsym Shyri” in the capital was shocked this Tuesday afternoon, when the businessman Arsen Muskurti shot and killed his brother and the latter’s wife.
According to Top Channel’s Dorjana Bezat, the grave incident took place inside the premises of a bar and the motivation is the conflict over a property between the victim and the perpetrator.
The two brothers were reportedly co-owners of a travel agency, but in 2018 the business was passed to the victim.
The brothers allegedly had a confrontation in the “Myslym Shyrit” area, on “Islam Alla” street, but the argument escalated into the use of firearms.
The police were able to catch the perpetrator in the “5 May” area after a several hours search. Eyewitnesses at the scene were many residents of the area and passers-by.
The double murder is the second in a short period as the night before in Lezha, Besnik Pjetri killed his former-brother-in-lawGent Pjerjaku and former father-in-law Pjeter Pjerjaku. The murder in the village Grykë Zeze in Lezha, in northern Albania came after Besnik Pjetrit’s divorce with the daughter of the Përjaku family.
During this summer only, 29 people have been killed in Albania, adding to the questions on the security of life in our country.
