Today is the 22nd anniversary of one of the most brutal massacres that the Serbian army committed against the civilian population during the war in Kosovo, where 45 Albanians lost their lives.

The Recak massacre was witnessed by the OSCE mission in Kosovo and led to NATO intervention in the conflict between Kosovars and Serbs.

In commemoration of this day in the cemetery of Recak, country leaders paid their tributes. The head of LVV party, Albin Kurti laid wreaths in the Recak cemetery along with the incumbent president Vjosa Osmani, who called on the world to turn its eyes on Kosovo, saying that there is living evidence of the crimes committed there by the Serbian army.

“We ask the world to turn its eyes to this clear evidence, Serbia was the one who led the whole war, and unfortunately by not apologizing and not allowing justice for these crimes, it proves that it is still dominated by this genocidal mind “, said Osmani.
