In the village of Malas Breg, 300m above sea level along the Berat-Lushnje national road axis in central Albania, there are about 70 inhabitants, but the existing road is degraded and the parents of 13 students in the village are concerned about the lack of a school

They say the children have to walk several kilometers between hills and olive plots towards the Syzeze village school. The children tell the journalists of Fiks Fare investigative program on Top Channel that for 5 years they have to depart at 7 o’clock to arrive at school at 8 o’clock.

Fiks Fare accompanied the children of the village to school, where is seen that the whole journey takes 55 minutes. While hiking through the olive groves, a second-grade girl slips and falls to the side of the road. After 55 minutes of walking, the children along with the Fiks group arrive at the Syzeze 9-year-old school, where the children study, but will take the same return route on the way back and that also have tp wait for each other so that walk together.

Fiks Fare went to Dimal Municipality, where the administrator Alban Kora said that they are aware of the case since several times the parents have been interested but they are not finding a means of transport.

A few days after Fiks Fare’s interest, the parent who chose to report to this show reported that the matter has been resolved and that the children go to school with the means of transport that the municipality made available for them. He also credits the investigative show for solving the problem after 4 years.
