After the incidents that occurred during this election campaign in Fushë Arrëz and Rreshen a few days before the local elections, electoral crimes were recorded in the capital Tirana and Memaliaj.

People identified by the police were caught buying and selling votes or threatened not to participate in the elections.

Tirana police say they have handcuffed 51-year-old Kristo Agalliu in the ‘Fresku’ area, after he was caught negotiating on the phone to sell four votes of his family against the sum of 15 thousand lek.

The 51-year-old also wanted to be paid for the fuel to go to Kucova, where he would cast the vote.

“100 thousand ALL is a shame, it is too little. Well, you have two votes, I have four votes. I have my own car, but he has to pay me for the fuel… Say it like this, listen to me, tell him 10 thousand lek and 5 thousand lek of diesel, this is the last offer”, was the conversation of Kristo Agalli with Agron Duraj over the phone.

The police of Tirana also proceeded to detain his interlocutor, Agron Duraj. The materials for the two persons passed to the SPAK prosecution, which will deepen the investigations to see if there are also political functionaries involved in these illegal schemes.
