Serbian opposition politicians have criticized Belgrade for sending to Kosovo a train filled with nationalistic slogans.

The leader of the Democratic Party, Dragan Sutanovac, accused President Tomislav Nikolic of releasing warmongering declarations that fuel conflicts in the region, and for putting Serbian minorities in Kosovo to useless dangers.

“Nikolic would send somebody else’s child to a war that’s lost from its beginning”, Sutanovac said after Serbian President stated he was ready to take army to Kosovo.

Other Serbian analysts also consider the train an unnecessary provocation that damaged bilateral relations. Alexandar Popv and Bojan Klajcer accuse Serbian politicians of trying to increase popularity before the presidential elections that will be held this Spring, damaging this way the talks that Prishtina and Belgrade have held with EU intermediation.

Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, answered to the declarations of Serbian President by saying that Serbs are Kosovo citizens, and they have never been put to any danger.
